Dr. Gayles: ‘Our Test Positivity Rate Has Decreased Significantly’

Montgomery County Health Officer Dr. Travis Gayles announced on Tuesday that the county has made significant progress in terms of COVID-19 case numbers.

About six weeks ago, Dr. Gayles says the county saw about 300 cases per day. Currently, those numbers have dropped to an average of 70- 80 cases per day. The county’s testing capacity has also significantly increased over the last three weeks with a daily test average of more than 3,000 results according to local health officials.
