Silver Spring Woman Charged With Starving Infant Daughter to Death
A Silver Spring woman has been arrested and charged with first-degree murder in the death of her infant daughter.
The Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) said Kiearra Tolson, 23, was arrested and charged for the death of her daughter, Blair Niles, about 15 months old. The infant’s body has not been found.
On Wednesday, Tolson’s acquaintance called 911 while they were together and said that Tolson told her she killed her baby. Tolson told police she starved the child for about 3.5 weeks, and put her body in a pillowcase and trash bags after she died. She said she put the body in a dumpster on her apartment’s property on June 17.
After an investigation of Tolson’s apartment, MCPD found evidence that backed up what she had said. She had a bond review scheduled for Thursday.
After being contacted by police, Blair Niles’ father said he last saw his child on April 17, and had no contact with Tolson after that.
