Van Crashes Into Guardrail Leaving Two People with Life Threatening Injuries

A van crashed into a guardrail on I-495 between Old Georgetown Road and Rockville Pike at about 5 p.m. Wednesday trapping multiple people inside the vehicle, according to Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service Public Information Officer Pete Piringer.

Two people were transported to the hospital as priority 1 trauma patients with life threatening injuries. Only one vehicle was involved in the crash. Some lanes were blocked on I-495 due to the crash, according to Piringer.
