Bus Stops Will Return to Sarbanes Transit Center

Several bus stops in Downtown Silver Spring that were closed due to Purple Line and Capital Crescent Trail construction will reopen on Saturday, according to a statement from Montgomery County.

Ride On and Metrobus stops around the Paul S. Sarbanes Transit Center that had to be relocated to the street will return to their original locations.

On May 11, Bonifant Street (west) between Ramsey Avenue and Georgia Avenue in Silver Spring will be closed for about 18 months, also for Purple Line construction. Routes for Ride On and Metrobuses coming in and out of the second level of the transit center will be changed, and the stop at Dixon and Wayne Avenue will be closed. Residents will still be able to access county garages on Dixon Avenue. The Kiss and Ride can only be accessed on Ripley Street.
