Man Fatally Struck By Train at Germantown Marc Station
Montgomery County Police Department’s Major Crimes Division is investigating the death of a man who was fatally struck by a CSX Freight train at the Germantown Marc train station.
Randolph Garth, 60, of Martinsburg, W. Va., has been identified by police as the man who died. According to a police statement, officers from the Germantown district station and Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services personnel were dispatched to the scene—located at 19301 Mateny Hill Road—at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
Garth was crossing the tracks at the platform when he was struck by the CSX Freight train and died at the scene, police say.
