Poolesville Residents Continue Quest for New High School Facility
Portions of Poolesville High School are nearly 70 years old and frustrated residents – many of whom who feel their town has been underserved for years – continue to make the case that they need a new facility.
MyMCMedia’s Jordan Lindsay spoke with residents and local elected officials about their concerns and a possible solution.
Thanks for covering this important issue. It isn’t just a need for the immediate locale, which is in itself great, but for the extended Montgomery County area students attending the premier magnet programs hosted there. Half the school is from out-of-cluster and those parents can’t advocate long-term for a new high-school/community services facility because they don’t know their children will attend Poolesville High School until 6 months before they start.
