On May 19, our MCM crews covered the Gaithersburg Book Festival for an upcoming television show documenting the event. While the show is in production, look for My MCMedia extra clips on our website and Facebook page. We interviewed some well known authors and writers, including: Jenny Lawson (a.k.a. The Bloggess), Eleanor Brown, Madeline Miller, Chris Pavone, Brad Parks, Clint Hill, Buzz Bissinger, Jim Lehrer, Sarah McCoy, Baratunde Thurston, Judah Friedlander, Kate Feiffer, Ron Charles, Marvin Kalb, L.E. Modesitt, Jr., Erin Willett and more.

Over the past six weeks, we have been out and about in the community covering community events such as Kentlands Day, the Kentlands/Lakelands Dog Show, the opening of a new Kentlands restaurant, the 30th anniversary celebration at Meadowside Nature Center, Gaithersburg’s Active Aging Expo, the Main Street Farmer’s Market, early voting in Montgomery County and the new Montgomery County police memorial. We’ve also followed some hot topics including ambulance fees, gas prices, pedestrian perils, a tax protest and Erin Willett’s meteoric ride on NBC’s “The Voice.”
