The Gaithersburg-Germantown Chamber of Commerce (GGCC) supported The Nonprofit Village Center, Inc. (NPV) on the grand opening of their new space. NPV will relocate this month to 15800 Crabbs Branch Road, Suite 300, in Rockville.

The Nonprofit Village Center is an incubator for mission-based organizations, providing capacity building, professional support services and collaboration – all within a shared space. Celebrating its 10th year of operations, the Nonprofit Village is Montgomery County’s first and only multi-tenant nonprofit center. Many local officials, including County Executive Ike Leggett, County Executive-elect Marc Elrich, and Councilmembers Sidney Katz & Hans Reimer, along with several GGCC Chamber members, attended the ribbon cutting ceremony on Friday, November 30, 2018, to show support for the center.

Welcome to our new home, said Alex Johnson, Potomac Network Group and NPV Board Chair. “We are here to celebrate the grand opening of our new and improved nonprofit incubator and co-working space. From our inception over ten years ago, this marks the culmination of our vision that includes providing space, support, services and programs for the organizations that service our community.”

Their innovative programs serve as a catalyst for community engagement and economic growth through

  • Direct services for over 25 nonprofits
  • Education for more than 100 nonprofits each year, and
  • Our network of nonprofits which serve over 100,000 people each year

Nonprofits increasingly need assistance navigating the complex web of compliance and development. Here at Nonprofit Village, we host free and low-cost development programs, including some individualized programs to support the unique needs of each member, peer education, collaborative opportunities, and a sense of community for nonprofits to thrive. Our shared services and back-office support help organizations to spend more time focusing on fulfilling their mission and enabling them to operate more efficiently”, said Johnson.
