Silver Spring Home Deemed ‘Total Loss’ After Fire
A Silver Spring home has been deemed a total loss, following a fire that emergency crews believed started Thursday morning.
More than 70 firefighters responded to the 200 block of Bryant’s Nursery Road in Cloverly after a Montgomery County police officer on patrol found a house “fully involved.”
“When crews arrived on the scene, they had heavy fire conditions,” said Pete Piringer, spokesperson for MCFRS. “We had a water supply task force, which brought in tankers from all areas of the county, including Howard County tankers.”
No injuries were reported. Occupants were not home at the time of the fire, according to Piringer.
At this time, the cause of the fire is unknown.
