Governor Orders Maryland Flag to Half Staff Sunday in Honor of Retired Judge
Maryland Governor Larry Hogan has ordered the State flag to be flown at half-staff on Sunday, Aug. 5 in honor of former Maryland Court of Appeals Judge John Eldridge, who died on July 27. The flag is to be returned to full staff at sunset.
According to the Maryland Archives, Eldridge served as a Judge in the 5th Circuit of the Maryland Court of Appeals for 30 years from 1975 until his retirement in 2003. The 5th Circuit includes Anne Arundel, Calvert, Charles and St. Mary’s counties.
