Montgomery County Recreation Receives Eight NACo Awards
Montgomery County Recreation received eight awards for its programs. The awards, presented by the National Association of Counties (NACo), recognizes the efforts by local jurisdictions that promote responsible, responsive and effective county government, according to a news release.
“Montgomery County Recreation is honored to receive eight NACo awards in the parks and recreation category—more than any other recreation department in the country,” Recreation Director Gabe Albornoz said in a statement. “These awards are a testament of the hard work and dedication that recreation staff put into every program every day.”
The Montgomery County Recreation programs receiving awards this year are:
- Advancing Youth Development Training
- Dream Academy
- Fashion Boot Camp
- HerTime2Shine
- MoCo’s Got Talent
- Second Thursday Silver Spring Dance
- Soccer4Change
- Water Safety Day
