Free Vaccinations Offered at Health Clinics for Students Entering 7th – 11th Grades

Montgomery County health officials are reminding parents of students entering seventh grade that their student must have one Tetanus-diphtheria-acellular pertussis (Tdap) and Meningococcal meningitis (MCV4) prior to the start of the 2018-2019 school year.

Students not in compliance with Maryland vaccination requirements will be excluded from attending school until they provide documentation of the required Tdap and MCV immunizations.

Free Tdap and MCV4 immunizations will be offered to incoming students at four locations in July and August.

The locations and clinic hours are:

Germantown Health Center
12900 Middlebrook Road, Germantow
Thursdays
1 to 4 p.m.

Silver Spring Health Center
8630 Fenton Street, 10th floor, Silver Spring
Wednesdays
8:30 to 11:30 a.m.

School Health Services Center
4910 Macon Road, Rockville
Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays
8:30 to 11:30 a.m.

Dennis Avenue Health Center
2000 Dennis Avenue
Silver Spring
Tuesdays
1 to 4 p.m.

A copy of the child’s immunization record must be presented to staff to receive vaccinations. No appointment is necessary. A parent or designated adult must be present.
