Police Seek Man Who Vandalized Police Cruiser
Montgomery Village police district officers have released a video of a man vandalizing a police cruiser in hopes someone can identify him.
The vandalism occurred about 3 p.m. Wednesday in the 9800 block of Mahogany Drive in Gaithersburg, police said.
The county’s 911 center received a call from someone who reported that they were recording a man standing on the hood of an unoccupied marked county police vehicle and was using an object to break through the windshield of the cruiser, police said.
The man fled before officers arrived.
Police said the man used a rock to break the windshield and then removed the rear-view mirror from inside the car. He put it on the roof of the cruiser before fleeing, police said.
Anyone with information regarding the incident or the man is asked to call the Montgomery Village police district Investigative Section at 240-773-5770.
