Police Investigating Death in Burtonsville as Homicide

Montgomery County police said Tuesday morning that a man’s death in Burtonsville is being treated as a homicide.

About 11 p.m. Monday, the county’s 911 center received multiple calls for the sound of shots fired in the area of Aldora Circle in Burtonsville, police said.

Silver Spring police district officers responded to the area and found a man with trauma to his body inside of a vehicle on Ballinger Drive at Autumn Glen Circle, police said.

Officers and Fire & Rescue personnel attempted life-saving measures but the victim died from his injuries, police said.

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore will conduct an autopsy to determine the manner and cause of the victim’s death, police said.
