MCPL Library Card Will Allow Access to Stream Movies Free

Residents with library cards from Montgomery County Public Libraries’ will have access to more than 30,000 films of free beginning May 15, according to a news release.

MCPL has teamed up with Kanopy, a popular on demand-film streaming service, to offer residents this new service.

So how does it work?

Cardholders will access Kanopy by signing up online.  Films can be streamed from any computer, television, mobile device, or by downloading an App.

Film topics that will be available ranges from social and cultural issues, programming that features diversity, foreign language films, and films on race and current affairs.
