Three of the 10 Most Diverse Cities in America are in Montgomery County

According to a study by Wallet Hub, three of the top 10 most diverse cities in the country are in Montgomery County, outranking Boston and Los Angeles.

Wallet Hub recently released a final study in their diversity study series that ranked three Montgomery County cities as most diverse in the Country. The finance website placed Silver Spring, Gaithersburg, and Germantown in its top ten “2018’s Most Diverse Cities in America” list.

The personal finance website compared 501 of the largest U.S. cities using five indicators: socioeconomic, cultural, economic, household and religious diversity.

According to the 2018 findings, Jersey City, New Jersey is the most diverse city in the country.

Silver Spring, Gaithersburg, and Germantown, followed at number four, six, and eight, respectively. The city of Rockville is also on the list at number 33.

Interestingly enough, when comparing diversity in small cities, Silver Spring, Gaithersburg, and Germantown are ranked number one through three, respectively. The city of Rockville ranked number 11.

The top 10 most diverse cities in America were in order Jersey City, N.J.; Houston, Texas; New York, N.Y.; Silver Spring, Md.; Dallas, Texas; Gaithersburg, Md.; Los Angeles, Calif.; Germantown, Md.; Long Beach, Calif.; and Arlington, Texas.
