Gov. Larry Hogan has ordered Maryland flags to be lowered to half-staff to honor Cpl. Mujahid Ramzziddin of the Prince George’s County police.
This is our fallen officer. Proud public servant, father, husband and son. He wore our badge for 14 years. He will live in our hearts every day. pic.twitter.com/cNPidw6N99

According to news reports, Ramzziddin was trying to help a neighbor in a domestic dispute. A shotgun blast killed him.
“The murder of Prince George’s County police officer Corporal Mujahid Ramzziddin in the line of duty today is an unspeakable tragedy,” Hogan said. “The First Lady and I are praying for his family, loved ones, and the department during this difficult time. Corporal Ramzziddin was a military veteran and a distinguished law enforcement officer who made the ultimate sacrifice in defense of his neighbors and community. His memory and service will never be forgotten.”
Honored to join @PGPDNews to say goodbye to Cpl Ramzziddin. Asking everyone to please say #PrayersforPGPD https://t.co/OcmxiKcMX1
