Thefts from Vehicles Summary:
Rockville District:
Four thefts from vehicles occurred between Jan. 30 and Feb. 6. Affected streets included Triple Crown Road, Keeneland Circle, Ancroft Court and Ambiance Drive. No force; cash and property were taken.
Bethesda District:
Four thefts from vehicles occurred between Jan. 31 and Feb. 4. Affected streets included East West Highway, Navarre Drive, and Ross and Grubb roads. No force; cash and property were taken.
Silver Spring District:
Thefts from vehicles occurred during this reporting period. Affected streets included Mount Pisgah, Armistead and Dilston roads; Markham Street; Dallas and New Hampshire avenues; Hampshire Green and Stewart lanes; Herrington Manor and Lockwood drives; and Norcross Way. Force was reported in multiple events; cash, property and vehicle parts were taken.
Germantown District:
Two thefts from vehicles occurred in the 100 block of Cross Laurel Court between about 6 p.m. Feb. 2 and about 9 a.m. Feb. 3. No force; cash and property were taken.
Montgomery Village District:
Two thefts from vehicles occurred in the 10100 block of Washingtonian Boulevard during this reporting period. No force; property was taken.
Other offenses:
Bethesda District:
Police arrested a 24-year-old Bethesda man, an 18-year-old Bethesda woman, and a 20-year-old Potomac woman in connection with a burglary at North Bethesda Middle School, 8935 Bradmoor Drive, about 11:45 p.m. Feb. 3. No signs of forced entry; nothing was taken.
Silver Spring District:
Police seek two males, ages between 16 and 20, in connection with a residential burglary in the 8400 block of Fenton Street between about 10 p.m. Jan. 31 and about 3 a.m. on Feb. 1. Forced entry; property was taken.
Police seek a man, age unknown, in connection with a commercial armed robbery at the Smoothie King, 8563 Fenton St., about 2:35 p.m. Feb. 3. The suspect displayed a weapon, assaulted the juvenile male employee and stole cash.
A residential burglary occurred in the 9400 block of Woodland Drive between about 7:30 a.m. and about 5:20 p.m. Feb. 2. Forced entry; property was taken.
An attempted residential burglary occurred in the 9000 block of Glenville Road between about 9:45 a.m. and about 4 p.m. Jan. 29.
A man attempted a strong-arm robbery in the 600 block of University Boulevard East about 5:20 a.m. Feb. 4. The man assaulted a woman and tried to take her property.
Police seek two men, about age 20, in connection with an armed robbery near Buckingham Drive and Linton Street about 11:25 p.m. Feb. 6. One man displayed a weapon. The men assaulted another man, taking his cash and property.
A residential burglary occurred in the 10300 block of Lariston Lane between about 10:10 a.m. and about 11 a.m. Feb. 2. Forced entry; property was taken.
An attempted residential burglary occurred in the 11200 block of Oakleaf Drive between about 5 a.m. and about 9:32 p.m. Feb. 5.
An attempted vehicle theft occurred in the 12000 block of Cherry Hill Road between about 7 a.m. and about 10 a.m. Feb. 1.
Vehicle thefts occurred in the following areas:
- In the 1600 block of Treetop View Terrace between about 4:30 p.m. Jan. 31 and about 4:37 p.m. Feb. 2. No force; the victim reported that the glass of driver’s side window was missing.
- In the 100 block of Hunters Gate Court between about 7:40 a.m. Feb. 1 and about 12:17 p.m. Feb. 2. Force. The vehicle was recovered on Feb. 2.
Attempted residential burglaries occurred in the following areas:
- In the 13600 block of Colgate Way between about 10 a.m. and about 12 p.m. Jan. 29.
- In the 13700 block of Colgate Way between about 9 a.m. Feb. 1 and about 9 a.m. Feb. 2.
Wheaton District:
Police seek a man for a commercial burglary at the Family Market Beer & Wine store, 5432 New Hampshire Ave., in the early morning hours of Feb. 3. Forced entry; merchandise was taken.
Police seek a man, 5 feet 8 inches tall, wearing a dark ski mask and dark clothing, in connection with an attempted strong-arm robbery in the 19000 block of Riverton Street about 8:44 p.m. Feb. 1. The man tried to take a woman’s cash.
Police seek two men in connection with an armed robbery in the 3800 block of Tremayne Terrace about 11:45 p.m. Feb. 1. One man displayed a weapon. The men took another man’s cash.
A vehicle theft occurred in the area of Longmead Crossing Drive and Cherry Leaf Lane between about 6:30 p.m. Feb. 4 and about 8:50 a.m. Feb. 5. Unknown entry.
In the 2500 block of Longmead Crossing Drive between about 10 p.m. Feb. 3 and about 8:30 a.m. Feb. 4. No force; a key was reported to have been left inside the vehicle. The vehicle was recovered on Feb. 5.
A residential shed burglary occurred in the 5300 block of Crestedge Lane between about 11 p.m. Jan. 30 and about 5:30 a.m. Jan. 31. No signs of forced entry, the shed was reported to have been left unlocked; property was taken.
A residential shed burglary and a theft from vehicle occurred at the same residence in the 5300 block of Crestedge Lane between about 11 p.m. Jan. 30 and about 5:30 a.m. Jan. 31. No force, the shed and vehicle were both reported to have been left unlocked; property was taken.
Police seek three men, between the ages of 20 and 29, in connection with an attempted residential burglary in the 13200 block of Dumbarton Drive in the early morning hours of Feb. 5. Forced entry; nothing was taken.
Germantown District:
An attempted residential burglary occurred in the 20100 block of Sweet Meadow Lane between about 8 a.m. and about 3:30 p.m. Jan. 31.
A residential burglary occurred in the 20400 block of Sunbright Lane between about 5:30 p.m. and about 9:15 p.m. Jan. 31. Forced entry; property was taken.
Police seek a man in connection with a commercial burglary at Deposition Services, 12321 Middlebrook Road, about 1:19 p.m. Feb. 3. Forced entry; nothing was taken.
Police seek a man in connection with an attempted residential burglary in the 20500 block of Golf Course Drive about 5:47 p.m. Feb. 5.
Montgomery Village District:
A residential burglary occurred in the 9900 block of Shelburne Terrace between about 5:30 p.m. Jan. 29 and about 5:30 p.m. Feb. 1. No signs of forced entry; property was taken.
Police seek four men, ages unknown, in connection with a strong-arm robbery in the area of Arrowhead Road and Rothbury Drive about 3:10 p.m. Jan. 31. The men assaulted another man, taking his cash and property.
A commercial burglary occurred at Helix Moving, 18934 Bonanza Way, between about 3 p.m. Feb. 4 and about 7 a.m. Feb. 5. No signs of forced entry; cash and property were taken.
Commercial armed robberies occurred at the following locations:
- At the B&B Beer and Wine store, at 8403 Snouffer School Road, about 8:43 p.m. Feb. 6. The suspect displayed a weapon; nothing was obtained. A man is sought.
- At the 7-Eleven convenience store, 17701 Muncaster Road, in the early morning hours of Feb. 7. A man displayed a weapon, assaulted the adult male employee, and stole cash.
