1. Groundhog Day: Will Punxsutawney Phil, the celebrity groundhog, see his shadow? According to legend, if it’s sunny and he sees his shadow that means six more weeks of winter. If he doesn’t see his shadow, then an early spring is on the way. Watch the live stream, here.
2. Hypothermia Alert: Montgomery County has issued a hypothermia alert for today through 10 p.m.
3. Black History Month: The Audobon Naturalist Society will celebrate Black History Month with their second annual Take Nature Black conference Feb. 28 at the Woodend Sanctuary in Chevy Chase. Registration information available, here.
4. Opening Reception Artists & Makers Studios February Exhibits feature the work of: Brian Fisher, Patty Hankins, Sheryl Massaro, Coriolana Simon, Alexandra Michaels and Erika Cleveland. The free reception takes place today from 6 to 9 p.m.
