Lynda.com Now Available Free Through Montgomery County Libraries

The premier online education site, Lynda.com, is now available free for all Montgomery County Public Libraries (MCPL) users with a valid library card.

Lynda.com offers a collection of more than 6,000 video courses taught by industry experts. Users can access Lynda.com to learn art, graphic design, music, 3D animation, CNC/CAD engineering, Photoshop, InDesign, help with computer programs and applications, courses for enhancing your career, computer programming, IT management, web design, photography, music and video production, and more.

The courses, organized by subject and skill level, can be accessed from computer, tablet or mobile device. Learn a whole course or just the needed section. Everyone learns in their own way and at their own pace.

Users can access the Lynda.com courses through the MCPL website or download content to their own devices to view later. Lynda.com is owned by LinkedIn, so those with LinkedIn accounts can add classes they have taken on Lynda.com to a LinkedIn profile.

Current library card holders can sign up for Lynda.com at www.montgomerycountymd.gov/library.

“The addition of Lynda.com to our suite of career and education resources will allow MCPL card holders access to a top source for online learning,” stated MCPL Acting Director Anita Vassallo.
