Wheaton’s Film Festival is back for the third year in a row and in addition to short film screenings, will feature panel discussions and networking events for aspiring filmmakers.

This year’s festival will be held at Chuck Levin’s Music Center in downtown Wheaton on Nov. 10 and will begin with three panel discussions at 2:30 p.m., according to a news release.

More than 60 films were submitted for consideration and the judges selected less than a dozen to showcase.

The film lineup for screenings will include: November 19th; Graduates; The Scholar & the Sailor; Mustard Quest; The Fabric of America; Encaustic: It’s All the Buzz; Liberty’s Hollow; Odyssey; The Wallet; and Obscure Lines.

“This festival is a great opportunity for people to get active as filmmakers and to meet outstanding producers, entertainment attorneys, and industry professionals,” said Brian Frankel, film festival organizer. “At large film festivals, you may see some great industry people, but meeting them one-on-one may be a challenge.  At the Wheaton Film Festival, it feels more like talented friends talking about making films.”

An awards ceremony will be held at 9 p.m. following the film festival.

Chuck Levin’s Music Center is located at 11151 Veirs Mill Rd. in Wheaton. Tickets can be purchased through the event’s website by clicking here.
