State Transportation Meeting Set for Thursday Night

The Maryland Department of Transportation presents its Consolidated Transportation Plan on Thursday night, showing off projects around Montgomery County.

The Transportation Department presents its draft six-year capital program to every county and Baltimore City for review and comment. The department then prepares a final budget to present to the General Assembly in January.

The Hogan Administration’s CTP proposes to spend $14.7 billion on the state’s transportation network. In addition, the Maryland Transportation Authority is investing $2.6 billion in our toll roads and bridges.

The meeting will be 7 p.m. in the Third Floor Hearing Room of the Council Office Building, 100 Maryland Ave., Rockville.
