Montgomery TennisPlex (Video)

A grand opening for the Montgomery TennisPlex is planned from 1 – 4 p.m. on Sept. 15 at the South Germantown Recreational Park.

The new facility is a public-private partnership between M-NCPPC, Montgomery Parks and Jack Schore Tennis.

Officials broke ground on the facility in April 2012. Participating in the groundbreaking  (left to right): Anne Pallie, MTP CFO; Mary Bradford, director, Montgomery Parks; Kevin Dowdell, MTP general manager; Jack Schore, MTP CEO and tennis director; Ike Leggett, County Executive; Barry Ford, director, Public Affairs and Advocacy, USTA; Mark Ein, founder and CEO of Venturehouse Group and owner of Washington Kastles; and Francoise Carrier, chair, Montgomery County Planning Board.
