Tax Free Week in Maryland Begins: Here’s What Qualifies
Sunday kicked off Maryland’s Tax Free Week and certain items are exempt from the state sales tax.
Apparel and footwear $100 or less, per item, are not subject to Maryland’s six-percent sales tax, according to a news release.
For the first time this year, the first $40 of a backpack or bookbag purchase is also tax-free.
Tax-Free Week in Maryland will last until Aug. 19.
