1. Inoculations, the In Thing: The Montgomery County Health and Human Services Department is offering free vaccinations this week for children entering seventh grade. Days, places and times are listed here.

2. Environmentally Speaking: Gaithersburg’s Environment Committee meets at 7 p.m. with a packed agenda. Committee members hear from Pepco, and discuss polystyrene recycling and food composting.

3. Nourish Now: The Rockville nonprofit is always looking for volunteers to assist in its work to end hunger and food waste. Visit here for more information.

4. Nature, For Free: The Locust Grove Nature Center at Cabin John Regional Park has a free nature program that starts at 11 a.m.

5. No Parking: Up to 250 parking spaces will be taken at the Grosvenor-Strathmore Metro Station in North Bethesda starting today. The spaces are needed for a project that will last 18 months.
