Police Investigating Silver Spring Home Invasion
Montgomery County police are looking for three men in connection with a home invasion of a Silver Spring home that started Tuesday night and lasted the night, a police statement said.
The men knocked at the front door to the home, in the 8800 block of Manchester Road, about 9 p.m., a victim told police. The men were able to enter the home, where two adults and a juvenile lived.
The men then bound the occupants, as well as two other adults who arrived later in the evening.
Detectives are working to understand the men’s actions through the night as they held the victims captive.
At about 8 a.m. Wednesday, one suspect began to assault an adult male victim with a knife, police said. During the assault, the victim disarmed the man, which caused the three remaining men to flee, police said. The victims were then able to contact 911, police said.
Each man was described to be in his 20s. One was described as 5 feet 7 inches to 5 feet 8 inches tall, with a medium build. He was wearing a white T-shirt and blue jeans. Another was wearing a black T-shirt and blue jeans..
Fire and Rescue personnel responded to the home and took an adult male victim to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
