
Another Hot Day on Tap, Code Orange Air Quality Alert Issued
It’s going to be another hot and humid day in Montgomery County and a Code Orange air quality alert has been issued for the entire Washington, D.C. metro region.
According to the National Weather Service, a Code Orange air quality alert means that air pollution concentrations within the region may become unhealthy for sensitive groups including: children, people suffering from asthma, heart disease, or other lung diseases, and the elderly. The effects of air pollution are minimized by avoiding strenuous activity or exercise outdoors. You can find more information, here.
Sightseers take note: Brookside Gardens is closing at 1 p.m. today in Wheaton because of the high heat and humidity.
