1. In the Rough: Gates open for the Quicken Loans Pro-Am at TPC Potomac at 6:30 a.m. Action starts at 6:40 a.m.
2. Drinking and Driving: Montgomery County police and the Department of Liquor Control launch a public awareness campaign to prevent drunken driving. The campaign is designed to encourage community members and retail establishments to do what they can to limit alcohol over-consumption and over-service, as well as drunken driving.
3. Insulation Consternation: Metro GM Paul Wiedefeld explained the transit line’s problems with moisture and insulators in a Tuesday meeting with the Montgomery County Council.
4. Hops to It: Beer Tasting starts at 6:30 p.m. at the Holiday Park Senior Center, 3950 Ferrara Drive, Wheaton. Taste different beers, appetizers and live music by Ellen Tenenbaum. Pre-registration is required. Cost is $9. Click here for more information.
