Hurley Defends His Title at Quicken Loans National This Week (VIDEO)

Professional golfer Billy Hurley III is back to defend his title at the Quicken Loans National.

The 2016 champion won his first title last year at Congressional Country Club. This year, the PGA tournament is being played at TPC Potomac at Avenel Farm.

“Having won last year and getting to defend this year, it’s a fun week,” Hurley said. “I am paired, I guess, with Si Woo Kim and Jimmy Walker. Si Woo Kim just won the Players and Jimmy won the PGA Championship last year, so we are going to have a good group and see some good golf there. ”

Sporting his Navy visor, he said this tournament is special to him because it honors the military.

“I am the only veteran in the military on the PGA Tour,” Hurley said. “To represent the military is something I take very seriously. It’s something I want to do well.”

As for the week ahead, Hurley said golf fans can expect to see some tough golf played on a beautiful course.
