Gaithersburg Reports 2 Armed Robberies, 2 Strong-Arm Robberies So Far in April

A strong-arm robbery was reported at 11:47 p.m. Sunday, April 23, in the 100 block of East Diamond Avenue. The victim and known suspects were involved in a physical altercation, resulting in known suspects obtaining property. The investigation is ongoing.

A strong-arm robbery was reported at 1:13 a.m. Saturday, April 22, in the 100 block of Olde Towne Avenue. Two people approached the victim, grabbed him and obtained property. The robbers then fled on foot. The investigation is ongoing.

An armed robbery was reported at 10:24 p.m. in the area of Watkins Mill Road and Travis Avenue. A man approached the victim, brandished a knife and demanded property. The man was described as 5 feet 6 inches tall, 20 to 25 years old with short brown hair, and last seen wearing a short-sleeved shirt and pants. The investigation is ongoing.

An armed robbery was reported at 5:40 p.m. Thursday, April 20, in the 300 block of Cedar Avenue. A group of male juveniles approached two victims, brandished a knife and demanded property. The suspects obtained property and fled on foot. The juveniles were later found and charged accordingly.

An attempted commercial burglary was reported at 2:08 a.m. Thursday, April 20, 2017 at 108 Olde Towne Ave. Someone kicked the front door but was unsuccessful. The investigation is ongoing.

An attempted residential burglary was reported at 5:10 a.m. Sunday, April 16, in the 200 block of Brookes Avenue. Someone attempted to enter the home through a window but was unsuccessful. The investigation is ongoing.

A residential burglary was reported Sunday, April 8, in the 200 block of Olde Towne Avenue. One or more people entered the home and removed property. The investigation is ongoing.

A residential burglary was reported at 3 pm. Thursday, April 6, in the 400 block of West Side Drive. Someone entered the home but removed no property. The investigation is ongoing.
