Police Chief Continues Conversation on Immigration with MCAEL
The Montgomery Coalition for Adult English Literacy will host a special meeting for a conversation on immigration with Montgomery County Police Chief Tom Manger.
In a description on MCAEL’s website, organizers said they are having this event amid concerns expressed from learners after travel bans were issued by the federal government.
The goal of the event is for adult English literacy providers to have the opportunity to talk with Chief Manger about immigration policies in the county.
Residents who teach or tutor English literacy or works for a coalition connected program is invited to attend.
The discussion will take place on April 18 at the Rockville Library in the first floor meeting room at 4:30 p.m.
