Students at Barnesville School of Arts and Sciences Win Arbor Day Video Contest (VIDEO)
Students at the Barnesville School of Arts and Sciences are the winners of Montgomery Park’s 2017 Arbor Day Video Contest.
In a short video, students had to answer why they loved trees in Montgomery County.
Science teacher Erin Farrah’s fifth grade class collaborated with Zorianna Harabatch’s fourth grade science class to sing about the importance of trees.
“It was great to see what they remembered all the things they knew about trees,” Farrah said. “They remembered photosynthesis, they remembered how things got erosion; it was great to see how much they knew about trees.”
The students will be awarded with an Arbor Day Festival scheduled for April 19.
