Montgomery County Police Report Three Armed Robberies in Summary
Montgomery County police have reported three armed robberies in the latest crime summary.
One armed robbery occurred in the 8700 block of Gilbert Place, Silver Spring, about 9:36 p.m. March 10, the summary said. One suspect displayed a weapon but nothing was taken from the adult male victim. Two men sought.
One armed robbery occurred in the 2200 block of Glenallen Avenue, Wheaton, about 3 p.m. March 13. One of the suspects implied that he had a weapon. Two males, from 17 to 19, took the adult male victim’s cash.
One armed robbery occurred in the area of Lost Knife Road and Contour Road in Montgomery Village about 8:15 p.m. March 13. Five males, ages unknown, took the juvenile male victim’s property. One displayed a weapon.
Rockville:
A residential burglary occurred in the 7200 block of Panorama Drive about 8:30 p.m. March 11. Forced entry; property was taken.
A residential burglary occurred in the 9200 block of Falls Chapel Way between about 4:40 p.m. and about 6:50 p.m. March 11. No signs of forced entry; the side garage door was reported to have been left unlocked; property was taken.
An attempted residential burglary occurred in the 15300 block of Chinaberry Street about 11 a.m. March 9. Police seek two teenaged males between 16 and 18.
A strong-arm robbery of a food delivery driver occurred in the 11600 block of Pleasant Meadow Drive about 9:30 p.m. March 10. The robber was described as a a man between 18 and 20.
A residential burglary occurred in the 11700 block of Trailridge Drive between about 6:45 p.m. and about 8:53 p.m. March 11. Forced entry; property was taken.
Bethesda:
Three thefts from vehicles occurred at county parking garages in the 8100-8200 blocks of Woodmont Avenue between about 9:30 a.m. and about 5:30 p.m. March 13. Force was reported in all events; cash and property were taken.
Multiple thefts from vehicles occurred in the early morning hours of March 10. Affected streets included Baltimore Avenue, Greenway Drive, Yorktown Road and Bradley Boulevard. No force, unknown means of entry into the vehicles; cash and property were taken.
Two thefts from vehicles occurred in the 9400 block of Old Georgetown Road on March 6 and March 14. Force was reported in one event, unknown means of entry into the other vehicle; property was taken.
An attempted theft from vehicle occurred in the 7600 block of Bradley Boulevard about 7:15 p.m. March 9. Force was reported; nothing was taken.
Silver Spring:
A theft from vehicle occurred in a county parking garage in the 900 block of Wayne Avenue between about 8:50 a.m. and about 11:12 a.m. March 6. Force was reported; property was taken.
Multiple thefts from vehicles occurred between March 6 and March 11. Affected streets included the 800 block of Violet Place, the 7900 block of Woodbury Place, Lockwood Drive, Hampshire West Court, Columbia Pike, Old Columbia Pike, New Hampshire Avenue, Tech Road, Featherwood Street, Lockwood Drive, Turbridge Drive, Valliant Way, Alpen Green Court, Stepping Stone Lane, Cedar Tree Lane and Gentry Ridge Court. Force was reported in some instances, four vehicles were reported to have been left unlocked, unknown means of entry into the other vehicles; cash, property and vehicle parts were taken.
A commercial burglary occurred at the Park Bradford Condominiums’ storage units at 8601 Manchester Road in the early morning hours of March 9. Forced entry; property was taken.
A commercial burglary occurred at the California Tortilla restaurant at 10721 Old Columbia Pike between about 8 p.m. March 9 and about 9 a.m. March 10. Forced entry; cash was taken.
Wheaton:
A residential burglary and a theft from vehicle occurred at the same home in the 13200 block of Banbury Place between about 11 p.m. March 7 and about 7:40 p.m. March 8. No signs of forced entry, a side door to the house and the vehicle were both reported to have been left unlocked; cash and property were taken.
A residential burglary occurred in the 14800 block of Fireside Drive between about 9 a.m. and about 10:30 p.m. on March 8. No signs of forced entry, a rear window was reported to have been left unlocked; nothing was taken.
A strong-arm robbery occurred in the 2100 block of Greenery Lane about 5:14 p.m. March 10. Six teenagers, from 16 to 18, assaulted two juvenile male victims and took their property.
An attempted residential burglary occurred in the 100 block of Carona Court between about 9:30 a.m. and about 1:50 p.m. March 13.
A residential garage burglary and a theft from vehicle occurred at the same home in the 700 block of Notley Road about 2 p.m. March 14. No signs of forced entry, the garage and vehicle were both reported to have been left unlocked; cash was taken.
Multiple thefts from vehicles occurred during this reporting period. Affected streets included Mowbray Road, Stoner Drive, Mimosa Lane, Stargazer Lane, Wellwood Road, Notley Road, Crowfoot Lane, Copley Lane, Soward Drive, Highview Avenue, Mapleview Drive, Atherton Drive, Veirs Mill Road and Judson Road. No force, five vehicles were reported to have been left unlocked, unknown means of entry into the other vehicles; cash and property were taken.
An attempted burglary occurred in the 3200 block of Hewitt Avenue about 12 p.m. March 10.
A residential burglary occurred in the 13600 block of Georgia Avenue between about 3 p.m. and about 9 p.m. March 12. Forced entry; nothing was taken.
A commercial burglary occurred at Danny’s Sub Shop at 2306 Shorefield Road in the early morning hours of March 9. Forced entry; cash was taken. A 12-year-old was arrested.
A residential burglary occurred in the 10500 block of Bucknell Drive between about 9:15 a.m. and about 11 a.m. on March 8. Forced entry; property was taken.
The following commercial burglaries occurred at the Westfield Wheaton mall at 11160 Veirs Mill Road:
- At the JC Penney about 11 p.m. March 10. No signs of forced entry; property was taken. A 12-year-old was arrested.
- At the T-Mobile Kiosk in the early morning hours of March 11. Forced entry; property was taken.
Germantown:
An aggravated assault occurred in the area of Observation Drive and Germantown Road about 11:25 a.m. March 7. The man displayed a weapon.
Multiple thefts from vehicles occurred between March 10 and March 13. Affected streets included Hickory Forest Way, Seneca Forest Circle, Seneca Forest Court, Timber Oak Lane, Circle Gate Drive, Century Boulevard and Flag Harbor Drive. Force was reported in one event, two vehicles were reported to have been left unlocked, unknown means of entry into the vehicles; cash and property were taken.
Three attempted vehicle thefts occurred in the following areas:
- In the 12400 block of Great Park Circle between about 8:30 p.m. March 10 and about 2:03 p.m. March 11.
- In the 12400 block of Great Park Circle in the early morning hours of March 11.
- In the 21100 block of Futura Court between about 6 p.m. March 11 and about 7:35 a.m. March 12.
A strong-arm robbery occurred in the 18600 block of Tarragon Way in the early morning hours of March 12. Two males, believed to be in their late teens, assaulted the two juvenile male victims and took their cash and property.
Montgomery Village:
Multiple thefts from vehicles occurred between March 6 and March 10. Affected streets included Copps Hill Place, Sailfish Terrace, Dockside Terrace, Horizon Run Road, Pier Point Place, the 9400-9500 blocks of Fern Hollow Way, the 19600 block of Club Lake Road, Ironclad Court, Hallmark Court, Airpark Road and Filbert Terrace. Force was reported in one event, one vehicle was reported to have been left unlocked, unknown means of entry into the other vehicles; cash and property were taken.
A school burglary occurred at Watkins Mill Elementary School at 19001 Watkins Mill Road between about 8 p.m. March 10 and about 2:18 p.m. March 11. Forced entry; property was taken.
A vehicle theft occurred in the 100 block of Cessna Court between about 6 p.m. March 7 and about 9 a.m. March 8. Unknown entry.
An attempted vehicle theft occurred in the 19900 block of Silverfield Drive between about 10:30 p.m. March 10 and about 7:30 a.m. March 11.
