Five Things to Know Today, April 10, in Montgomery County
Here are five things to know today, April 10, in Montgomery County:
1. Today is the first day of spring break for Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) students.
2. Maryland Governor Larry Hogan has ordered the state flag to half staff in honor of a Montgomery County firefighter who passed away on Friday.
3. Germantown MARC train users are being advised that parking is going to be limited at the station today because of emergency repairs to the westbound platform.
4. Two lanes of Rockville Pike near the Medical Station Metro Station will be closed overnight as transportation workers construct a pedestrian underpass as part of the construction of the Multimodal Crossing Project.
5. You can now check out books at the Davis Library, which is located at 6400 Democracy Boulevard in Bethesda. The library branch was closed last summer for a “refresh.” The library’s improvements include new information desks, new carpet and paint, ADA enhancements to the public restrooms, a new cafe seating area, a new meeting room and more.
If you like to fish, then there’s one more thing you may want to know today. Several Montgomery County lakes are being stocked with trout this week. Check out the state’s spring schedule, here.
