Reston Lake Anne Air Conditioning System (RELAC) is a communal water-powered air conditioning system serving about 600 residences in the Lake Anne area of Reston, Virginia. It is an appealing alternative energy concept, but as it pushes into 40+ years of operation, many have begun to question whether the time has come for its decommission.
