March 1: Ballroom Dancing

1 p.m. – 3 p.m. Every Wednesday in March, come out and practice the international style Ballroom Dance, like Waltz, Viennese Waltz, Tango, Paso Doble, Quickstep and Slow Foxtrot, Latin Dancing, such as Cha Cha, Rumba and Samba, also social dances, such as swing. March 1: Summer Fun Centers Registration is Open
Summer Fun Centers are one of the many Montgomery County Recreation gems. The summer will be filled with fun and excitement for boys and girls ages 6-12. The Summer Fun Center program is organized for children ages 6-12. They will enjoy fun, well-planned and supervised activities. They can choose to hang out with friends or make new ones. We’ll keep things hopping with creative and fun crafts, sports, games, music and special events. Children are welcome to come every day or just occasionally, but every day will be packed with summer fun. Offsite trips include swimming for ages 9-12 and splash park field trips for ages 6-8. Summer Fun Centers operate from June 26, 2017 through August 4, 2017 during the hours of 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. Summer Fun Centers will not meet on Tuesday, July 4, 2016. Join the Competitive Adult Soccer League. The league fee is $826. After March 3, league fee is $876. Eight weeks of regular season games. Individuals that are interested in playing, but do not already have a team, please register for our free agent list, activity #32459. Placement on a team is not guaranteed, but your name will be added to a free agent list that will be sent to the team managers every Monday morning. If a team manager is interested in adding you to their roster, they will contact you directly. Registration for the league is a team fee. Senior Sports Activities
Montgomery County Recreation offers many opportunities for individuals 55+ to participate in volleyball, basketball, badminton, pickleball, table tennis, billiards and other individual and team sports. Drop-In Gym programs only require individuals to get a $30 a year open gym pass. There are also leagues offered at several locations that are co-sponsored with the Montgomery County Senior Sports Association (MCSSA). Call the Sports Team at 240.777.6810 for more information on league play. Aquatics also offer many programs and classes. Call the Aquatics Team for additional information.
