Students from Gandhi Brigade Youth Media to Premiere Documentary on Police Brutality

Student producers from Gandhi Brigade Youth Media are inviting residents to the premiere of their new short documentary “To Serve and Protect?” on Oct. 27 at the Silver Spring Civic Center from 7:30-9 p.m.

The film will shed light on excessive use of force by police on men, women, and children of color.

A panel discussion will follow the screening with Montgomery County Police Commander Marcus Jones, Montgomery County NAACP chapter president Linda Plummer and Howard University professor Jennifer Thomas.

Tickets are $10.

Ghandi Brigade Youth Media is an afterschool program that empowers young people in the Washington, D.C. region to use multimedia tools to promote community building. Click here to learn more information about this program.
