1. Council Meeting: The Montgomery County Council is scheduled to be briefed on issues related to the Flower Branch Apartments explosion that occurred in Silver Spring last month. The council will also issue a proclamation honoring Hispanic Heritage month.
2. Election Events: It’s National Voter Registration Day! Be sure to register if you haven’t. Margaret Jurgensen, Montgomery County Election Director, will be hosting a virtual town hall meeting today at 1 p.m.
3. Hoggle Case: Catherine Hoggle is scheduled to be in District Court today for a status hearing on her competency.
4. Movie Screening: The Mill Creek Towne Garden Club is scheduled to screen “Growing Legacy”, the award-winning film about Montgomery County’s Agricultural Reserve tonight at Mill Creek Towne Elementary School.
5. Music Scene: Florida based band Boyce Avenue will be performing at the The Fillmore Silver Spring tonight.
