Pepco Employee Injured While Working on Transformer (VIDEO)
A Pepco employee was injured on the job Wednesday night while working on a transformer in the Leisure World area.
Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Spokesperson Pete Piringer tells us more about this incident in this MyMCMedia Extra video, below:
Pepco has released the following statement about the employee’s injuries:
“On 9/7/2016, a Pepco employee was injured as a result of electrical contact and flash when working in a front pad mount transformer. The injury occurred at 9:30 p.m. in Silver Spring, Maryland, where a 3-person crew was working on an underground cable. The employee was making mechanical adjustments when the contact occurred. The employee was transported to Washington Med-Star Burn Center with burns to his upper body and knee.”
