1.  Maryland State Highway recently began constructing safety modifications at the intersection of River Road and Braeburn Parkway. The intersection is the site of the tragic roadside accident that killed three Whitman High School family members.

2. The National Intrepid Center of Excellence at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center Science Cafe will feature a talk with Melissa Walker, a credentialed art therapist who works with service members to help and process their feelings, experiences, and identities through art.

3. Seniors and people with disabilities will be able to ride free on Ride On from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturdays beginning Sept. 3rd.

4. The director of Collegewise, Jordan Kanarek, will be hosting a seminar at Long Branch Library about the college admissions process tonight at 6 p.m.

5. The Bethesda Blues and Jazz Supper Club will feature a performance by Marianna Previti tonight.
