1. Election results: Chris Van Hollen won the Democratic Senate primary race and will face Republican candidate Kathy Szeliga in the general election. Jeanette Dixon and Phil Kauffman will face-off in November for the Board of Education At-Large race.

2. MCPS high school and middle school students are scheduled to vote in an election for the next Student Member of the Board of Education today.

3. Damascus Library is scheduled to screen the award-winning film “Growing Legacy” about Montgomery County’s Agricultural Reserve tonight at 7 p.m. Register for the event here.

4. Friends of White Flint to hold a community meeting tonight at the Kennedy Shriver Aquatic Center at 6:30 p.m. Updates on the various development projects are expected.

5. The SFJAZZ Collective is scheduled to perform music by Michael Jackson and original compositions at The Music Center at Strathmore tonight at 8 p.m.
