2. It’s Earth Day! Montgomery Parks is marking the completion of the Brookside Gardens Garden Gateway project today with a ribbon-cutting ceremony in Wheaton. In Rockville, local leaders are planting a tree at Beall Elementary School as part of the city’s Earth Day celebration.
3. Maryland Lt. Governor Boyd Rutherford is coming to town today to address the Bar Association of Montgomery County‘s 122nd annual meeting and Law Day celebration at the Bethesda North Marriott Conference Center.
4. Montgomery College is scheduled to dedicate a study space for women veterans — the first in the nation — at the Campus Center Building on the Rockville campus today. In the Music Building, Montgomery College also hosts the Mid-Atlantic Guitar Festival today and tomorrow.
