County Employees Celebrate Black History Month at Universities at Shady Grove (VIDEO)
The Montgomery County Employees Black History Month Program Committee is hosting its annual celebration at the Universities at Shady Grove today.
The theme of this year’s program is “Hallowed Grounds: Sites of African American Memories.”
Local leaders, including County Executive Ike Leggett, Council President Nancy Floreen, and Councilmember Craig Rice, are among those attending the event.
The two-hour event includes musical performances and speeches.
