Police Investigate Death in Silver Spring

Montgomery County Police detectives are investigating a death that was discovered Tuesday night in Silver Spring. According to police, at 11:10 p.m. on December 22 detectives from the Major Crimes Division were in the area of the Northwest Branch Trail near the inner-loop of I-495, when they located a deceased person in the creek along the trail.

Police continue to investigate the death. An autopsy will be performed by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore. No further details were released.
