Rockville Observes Veterans Day at Veterans Park (PHOTOS)

Rockville Mayor Bridget Newton and other officials honored veterans at a special ceremony on Nov. 11 at Veterans Park.

The event included a wreath-laying ceremony and a 21-gun salute by the American Legion Post 86 Honor Guard.

Retired Navy Yeoman 3rd Class Roger Langley, a long time Rockville resident, described his experiences serving on the USS Missouri at the ceremony. Langley served on active duty in the U.S. Navy for the entire duration of the Korean War.
