1. Give yourself more time to commute to work or school today. Visibility is reduced and road conditions are slick, according to Montgomery County’s fire and rescue spokesperson Pete Piringer.

2. The Montgomery County Board of Education meets today and one of the items on the agenda is setting the school calendar for the 2016-2017 school year. You can read the superintendent’s recommendation and background information for that agenda item, here. 3.  A delegation of 36 Montgomery County residents is visiting El Salvador this week as part of a “Sister City” trip. You can view photos from the delegation’s trip, here.

4.  Need a laugh? The Comedy and Humor Club is scheduled to meet at Leisure World’s Clubhouse II in Silver Spring this afternoon from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. and you don’t have to live there to join this entertaining club.

5.  Tomorrow is Veterans Day and that means county offices and libraries are closed. MCM’s offices will also be closed in observance of Veterans Day.
