Marathon Swimmer Jim Clifford was honored on Sept. 29 at the Montgomery County Council meeting.
Clifford trains at the Germantown Aquatic Center and became the oldest person to complete the Triple Crown of Open Water Swimming with his crossing of the English Channel. He was 63 when he broke the record previously held by Bob West from the La Jolla Swim Club.
