Maryland 8th Congressional District Candidate Forum Set for Oct. 1
The Greater Capital Area Association of Realtors (GCAAR) is hosting a Maryland 8th Congressional District candidates forum and debate on Oct. 1 at its offices in Rockville.
The six Democrats running for this seat, David Anderson, Kumar Barve, Will Jawando, Kathleen Matthews, Jamie Raskin and Ana Sol-Gutierrez have confirmed their participation, according to the event’s organizers.
MyMCMedia’s Sonya Burke is serving as the moderator of the Oct. 1 forum.
Congressman Chris Van Hollen currently represents the 8th district. Van Hollen announced he is running for a Senate seat after Senator Barbara Mikulski said she would not be running in 2016.
The Presidential Primary Election is scheduled for Tuesday, April 26 in Maryland. Early voting will take place between April 14 and April 21. You can find a complete election calendar online, here.
