Clarksburg Woman Killed in Fatal Collision
Montgomery County Police are investigating a fatal collision involving a 2003 Chevrolet S10 Trailblazer and a 2008 Honda Accord on Darnestown Road near Whites Ferry Road, that occurred Tuesday, around 7 p.m. in the Dawsonville area.
Police said alcohol use may have contributed to the collision that killed Tiffany Nicole Bein, 23, of the 12800 block of Shawnee Lane in Clarksburg.
According to the police, preliminary investigation shows that the Trailblazer was traveling on Darnestown Road near Whites Ferry Road when it crossed the center line on the curve in the road; struck the Accord, left the road, and struck a tree.
Bein was one of the two passengers of the Trailblazer. The second passenger was John Gilbert Reyes, 23, of the 12800 block of Locbury Circle in Germantown. Both were thrown from the SUV.
Police said Bein was transported to Suburban Hospital where she died from her injuries. Reyes remains in critical condition at the Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore.
According to a news release, the driver of the Trailblazer, identified by police as Torray James Jr., 26, of the 5700 block of Trailview Court in Baltimore, was not ejected, suffered non-life-threatening injuries, and was transported to Suburban Hospital.
Three people in the Accord suffered minor injuries. They are driver Janet Yeboah, 47, of Germantown and front seat passenger, Sylvester Yeboah, 31, of Germantown. Both were transported to Shady Grove Hospital with minor injuries. The rear seat passenger, Drew Brown, 18, was transported to Inova Fairfax Hospital with minor injuries, Police said.
