3. Office of Agriculture: The Council’s Planning, Housing and Economic Development Committee (PHED) meets this afternoon to discuss the reorganization of the Department of Economic Development, and Councilmembers may also discuss a plan to create an Office of Agriculture.
4. Gaithersburg Worksession: Gaithersburg leaders will hold a work session tonight to discuss partnership opportunities at the Universities at Shady Grove and the development status of the city’s new police station.
5. Children’s Open House: The new Silver Spring Library is open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and there are all kinds of fun events planned for children today, including activities about superheroes, legos and gaming. If you haven’t seen this facility, you must check it out!
